Women in Construction Profile: Ashley Rodaberger

Executive Coach and Consultant, former Construction Executive

Ashley Rodaberger, Director, Supplier Success, Remarcable

What led you to a career in construction?

I didn’t originally plan a career in construction. I went to school for Criminology. Like many in this industry, I found my way into it unexpectedly and stayed because of the people.

I started as a receptionist in distribution at a Fortune 500 company. Not knowing if I made the right decision or what the future held, I quickly grew into administrative and customer service roles. Over time, I became Supervisor of Customer Service across multiple branch locations deeply involved in the daily operations of a distributor. My role sat right in the middle of everything–sales, purchasing, warehouse, manufacturers, and contractors–where small communication gaps could quickly turn into very real job site delays.

Every day was problem solving, coordinating order processes, answering logistic questions, tracking materials, managing expectations, and helping to keep projects moving across our teams. I quickly learned that construction doesn’t run on product alone, it runs on responsiveness, relationships, and trust.

One of the most meaningful influences on my career has been the women I’ve met in this industry. From CEO’s to women who were once strangers to me at a trade show. Being a woman in construction matters to me, and it has taught me lessons I carry into my leadership every day–how to communicate under pressure, respect timelines and earn trust by doing what you say you will do.

Relationships are the most meaningful part. Trade shows, counter conversations, early morning calls from contractors and last-minute project needs have built connections that have lasted well beyond my time at branch distribution. Many of these people are still part of my professional and personal life today and they continue to influence how I approach each day and the work I do.

That experience ultimately led me to Remarcable. I didn’t leave the industry, I moved to another side of it.

As Director of Supplier Success, my focus is helping distributors, manufacturers and contractors spend less time searching for updates, pricing and emails, and more time serving customers and completing projects. We aren’t just building software for the trades, we’re building it alongside people who understand the work because they’ve lived it. I am especially proud to work alongside an incredibly smart group of women who are shaping the industry and the future of Remarcable every single day:

  • Melissa Jacutin, Customer Success Manager, her commitment to customer relationships ensures our partners feel supported and heard
  • Katie Grasso, Supplier Success Manager, who champions supplier success, growth and drives meaningful impact across all suppliers on Remarcable
  • Genevieve Moravek, Supplier Integration, she bridges technology and operations to make implementation seamless and successful
  • Kaelyn Ford, Technical Support Specialist, who brings insight, collaboration to strengthen our internal and external partnerships
  • Ashley Olin, Business Development Rep, who opens doors and builds relationships
  • Manique Rin, Business Development Rep, her energy and drive help bring new opportunities to life
  • Kylie Larsen, Office Manager, Accounts and Finance Specialist, she’s the backbone of operations, keeping our teams organized, supported and moving forward

The platform was built by people who understand the operational reality of the field and distribution, and our goal is simple: make collaboration between partners easier, faster, and clearer.

If you’ve ever had information live in two inboxes, multiple spreadsheets, and a phone call–you already understand the problem we’re solving.

I’m thankful for the path that’s brought me here and honored to work alongside these women that continue to raise the bar.

Women in construction have shaped this industry for decades, and the momentum we’re building today makes the road ahead even more promising.

Remarcable Women in Construction

The women at Remarcable are truly remarkable. Here is a snapshot of them and what each of them loves most about working in construction.

Ashley Olin, Business Development Representative, Remarcable

What’s one thing you love about working in construction?

I love seeing an idea turn into something that serves a community. The best part though, are the relationships built along the way. The early mornings, prompt problem-solving, shared wins, and mutual respect.  That’s just as meaningful as the finished project.

Jaime Grant, Onboarding Project Manager, Remarcable

What’s one thing you love about working in construction?

What I enjoy most about working in construction is building relationships with contractors. Understanding how their teams operate and showing them how Remarcable can simplify processes and improve day-to-day efficiency is incredibly rewarding.

Jessica Hudson, Onboarding Project Manager, Remarcable

What’s one thing you love about working in construction?

My dad has been working at a local general contractor since I was little. From the field to the office as a head estimator to becoming the CFO- being around contractors and seeing how hard they work to build their business is amazing. I love being a part of that process for our customers! I have brothers who are also in the trades and it's cool to think that someday, they may be customers for us.

Jennifer Leem, Vice President, Human Resources, Remarcable

What’s one thing you love about working in construction?

What I love about the construction industry is the sense of legacy. Construction is one of the few industries where you can literally point to your work and say, “I helped build that.” For my family — with my spouse, two sons and son-in-law in the trades — it’s more than a career. Its craftsmanship, teamwork, and pride passed down through generations. The industry represents opportunity, purpose, and the backbone of our communities.

Manique Rin, Business Development, Remarcable

What’s one thing you love about working in construction?

One of the things I value most about the construction industry is the relationships it builds. Beyond the structures, it’s about collaboration - supporting one another to bring a shared vision to life.

Katie Grasso, Supplier Success Manager, Remarcable

What’s one thing you love about working in construction?

I love this industry because construction requires constant collaboration and creative problem-solving between suppliers, contractors, engineers, etc. I thrive on the challenge and the fact that no two days are the same. Proud to be part of an industry where women continue to make an impact—this week and every week.

Lynette Engelke, Onboarding Project Manager, Remarcable

What’s one thing you love about working in construction?

I love working in construction because what we do at Remarcable creates real, visible impact for the teams building our world. I get to help contractors simplify the chaos, streamline their workflows, and feel more confident in their processes - which means we’re not just supporting projects, we’re helping them operate smarter and more successfully.

Kaelyn Ford, Tech Support Specialist, Remarcable

What’s one thing you love about working in construction?

One thing I love about the construction industry is you can see your impact in real time. It's rewarding to be able to be a part of something that you can physically see benefitting your community.

Desiree Schmitz, Director of Implementation, Remarcable

What’s one thing you love about working in construction?

I really like the concept of turning a vision into something tangible. You spend so much time preparing for a large project; bringing on the right team, allocating and adhering to a budget, sourcing all the materials you need, and putting a formal plan together to ensure you’re hitting all the right benchmarks. Then you spend months (or years) executing that plan and at the end of it, you can literally see the impact of your team’s work. Seeing our software become a part of a construction company’s everyday processes by streamlining communication and reducing inefficiencies is incredibly rewarding.

Melissa Jacutin, Senior Customer Success Manager, Remarcable

What’s one thing you love about working in construction?

I genuinely value my customers that I work with in this industry. They don’t fluff; they want results. The Electrical and Construction industry is constantly evolving, and technology adoption is accelerating. I love to help customers modernize and streamline their processes and see them succeed and make accomplishments. This industry is like no other when it comes to the people. They are grounded, hardworking, and deeply committed to what they do. Even playing a small role in supporting their success feels significant. I appreciate the direct and straightforward communication and their strong loyalty they have to their teams and companies.
